General Information
Arcadia Park Elementary School is a learning community that is rigorously working to inspire students to become successful independent thinkers. The school aims to provide a safe and secure learning environment in which students gain the behavioral and academic skills to become successful. We empower students to learn by providing a rigorous curriculum, promoting collaboration, and allowing students to be stakeholders in their own education.
Over the past three years, Arcadia Park Elementary has implemented many innovative programs and research-based instructional practices, placing student academic performance on an upward trend. We pride ourselves on challenging students to perform to their utmost potential.
The school staff connects with parents and the community to ensure student success. Parents are valued partners and are encouraged to participate in school activities. Parent involvement opportunities include assisting in classrooms, participating in PTA, and serving on the Site-Based Decision Making committee. The school also offers to parents English-as-a-second-language, GED, and citizenship classes; nutrition classes; and parenting workshops.
Arcadia Park is the Dallas Independent School District's first public-use campus, combining an elementary school with a branch of the Dallas Public Library.
